You've probably heard all of the hype about how AI is helping people produce content faster, and you don't want to be left behind. Well, there are a host of AI tools that work seamlessly with our platform and you can start using them in minutes! This article will break down how to leverage Writer for editing, style recommendations, and AI content creation right within DivvyHQ.

Note: Writer requires you to have an account with them before you can integrate within DivvyHQ.

Account Creation & Installation

Of all the tools we've tested, Writer is probably our favorite AI content editing and creation platform. So much so that we've partnered with them and their development team has made a few software tweaks to ensure Writer works perfectly in Divvy. They have both Small Team and Enterprise plans available, but if you just want to take it for a test drive, there is a free trial.

Once you've created an account, you can add Writer's Chrome extension to your browser.

Note: Writer only offers a Chrome extension at this time.

To add Writer's Chrome browser extension:

1. Search for the Writer extension in Chrome's Web Store, or you can just click here.
2. Click Add to Chrome.
3. Some extensions will let you know if they need certain permissions or data. To approve, click Add extension.

The Writer icon should now be active and show up in your Chrome extension list to the right of your URL address bar.

If you do not see it up there, click the puzzle piece icon on the far right of the extension list. Then scroll down to the bottom of the dropdown list and select "Manage Extensions". Then find the Writer extension and make sure it is toggled to On.

Day-to-Day Use Within Divvy

The best way to describe Writer would be to combine the spelling and grammar checking of Grammarly, the AI content writing of Jasper, and then add in your own brand style guide recommendations to ensure everything you write is on message and on brand. It's really slick.

As part of your account setup, Writer gives you the ability to create style rules and input brand terms that become part of it's recommendations.

Editing & Style Suggestions

Writer's Chrome extension will start analyzing and providing suggestions as soon as you click within any editable Divvy field, our HTML editor, or comment field. The AI tool's main goal is to help you improve your writing by making sure your grammar is correct, your style is consistent, and your writing is clear. It's suggestions engine will provide guidance in each of the following areas:

• Spelling & Grammar - No more misspellings or punctuation errors slipping through the cracks
• Brand Terms - Alternative, approved word options to improve quality and accuracy
• Style - Stylistic suggestions like active vs. passive voice
• Clarity - Improves the readability of text
• Delivery - Provides guidance on how to effectively present content to best engage the reader
• Inclusivity - Ensure your writing is respectful and inclusive of all genders, cultures, and backgrounds
• Compliance - Helps you adhere to specified rules and regulations
• Plagiarism - An easy way to find and replace plagiarized content

Embeddable Snippets

For those of you who have a library of canned messaging, boilerplate language, or even commonly used calls-to-action, Writer's Snippets feature is a godsend. You can create snippets within your Writer account and then access them right within the Chrome extension in Divvy.

We've create a wide variety of HTML code snippets for use on the DivvyHQ blog to embed demand gen campaign banners and regularly used CTAs.

AI Content Creation 

Much like Jasper, your Writer account comes equipped with a wide variety of writing templates to produce content for many uses and formats. If you're wanting to use Writer to create content from scratch using templates and writing prompts, you'll currently need to initiate that within the Writer app. We're hopeful that more content creation features will be coming to their Chrome extension soon. 

That said, Writer's extension does include a helpful "ReWrite" feature that can be used directly within Divvy. If you feel like a sentence or paragraph needs to be rewritten, simplified, or polished, simply select the text and click the ReWrite icon that is displayed. This will give you a variety of rewritten options. Then you can copy and paste the winner within Divvy.
